I have just bought this camera from Comet East Kilbride store the service from the personel was excellent and the particular from lady named Sylvia who was very helpful and now to camera the d5100
this camera is more designed as enthusiast cam for D S L R beginner the d3100 is the better choice as it has guided mode built in The d 5100 caters for just about every thing you need and excellant noise supression at high iso it shares the same sensor as d 7000 also added is alot of effects to change your pict or movies to unfortunatly the efect are only jpeg format only and resalution is good enough to print out to A 3 size and also raw format i have found i do need to to alter the WHITE BALANCE and have not found motor noise when recording movie clips to be problem .The only problem i have found is camera is not water prove and no bag supplied to keep the supplied lens in when the lense is not in use
